We use Drata for GRC for SOC2, Type 2 and ISO 27001:2022
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, easy implmentation, easy integration, and flexibility.
What do you dislike about the product?
Missing a connection to out ITSM for ticketing. I have to admit our ticketing system isn't in the top 20. So I am not shocked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Single pane of glass for GRC. Reduces cost of annual audits. Single repositiry for evidence and policies, etc. Vendor security questionnaire automation.

What do you like best about the product?
It's helpful to organize information about controls
What do you dislike about the product?
It needs more keyboard shortcuts. Also, when I go to the "monitoring" tab and open a failing test, pressing escape does nothing, which is annoying.

Organizing Controls and evidence.
Drata is an effective, helpful solution to assist with the SOC2 process
What do you like best about the product?
Drata breaks SOC2 tasks down into discrete chunks, which makes it much more approachable (especially as someone who doesn't have a background in Governance/Compliance).
Drata's support is great, with knowledgeable agents available to answer questions on-demand, and an extensive knowledge base of helpful support articles.
Drata is always upgrading its features and functionality.

What do you dislike about the product?
Communication and task management functionality within the app (for discussing with teammates) could be better. Some controls are not well explained.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata has been instrumental in guiding my company through the SOC2 process.
Rachel was really accommodating and nice throughout the process.

The custom requests are outside the main platform. It's kinda hard on the part of the auditor since it would take time to go on the custom request

What do you like best about the product?
The system is very user friendly, the help articles are a daily go to for us and the continued support from Ben Chau our Customer Success Manager definetly makes a huge difference.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of Business Conitnuity and Contract Management features & functionality, force us to use other non integrated tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralization of internal monitoring and controls as well as stremlining and simplifying PCI and ISO readiness.

What do you like best about the product?
The cleanest automated compliance platform around. We undergo many audits and between the dashboard and controls, it's so much easier to set tasks and follow audit progress.

What do you dislike about the product?
Does not track individual KB4 trainings well. No AML features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PCI and HIPAA compliance. HR personnel compliance. Vendor Security questionnaires.
It's a complicated system to use, but it still saves me time
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of information, most of it useful. I can do everything I need to from the UI. Great support. Very useful to have it plug in to our environments to automatically assess compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's somewhat obtuse in the way it presents information. There are a LOT of different angles from which you can view compliance, and it has a specific way of presenting things that doesn't always align with our view of the world. Having said that, it's still a good labour saving device.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a force multiplier when it comes to compliance resourcing. 1 FTE can manage the work of an entire team.

What do you like best about the product?
Drata provides a clear dashboard view of the frameworks we work towards, clear connections to controls, the capabilities of ownership and maintenance of out ISMS and risk management.
The supplier management section is also super helpful!
Implementation was easy and using the connections and integrations we were set up and running within two weeks.
The ability to be part of the roadmap and feedback to Drata using customer support really makes you feel part of a family.
When I log on to our system, Drata is one of the first applications I open and it stays with me all day.

What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of Drata for me personally, is that it is that efficient, the moment any part of ISMS falls out of review I see the percentage score drop and this messes with my OCD!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Single source of truth for our ISMS - this means all evidence is streamlined into one excellent platform.
This is making meetings easier and managment of our ISMS and risk mangagement much more time-efficient.

Experience with drata
What do you like best about the product?
Drata gets the job done when it comes to compliance monitoring and audits. It was easy to implement and we use it daily. Support has always been top tier.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a growing piece of software. Their software is still maturing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC 2 compliance was our primary use.
A helpful and reliable security management platform
What do you like best about the product?
I would say the structure of the platform is excellent, providing clear guidance for a company to manage its security issues comprehensively. Initially, we were not familiar with the security area, especially regarding how to periodically address security issues under the SOC2 and GDPR frameworks. Our customer success manager, Elizabeth John, is very nice and gentle. She has provided me with a wealth of instructions patiently and efficiently. I would recommend Drata to anyone needing to address security regulations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Drata is well-suited for those who really need to meet security regulations. Startups should carefully evaluate whether they have sufficient resources to commit, as once you begin implementing security regulations, it's not easy to stop and you should also expect a long-term commitment. Therefore, if you have a significant number of customers requiring this, it's advisable to proceed. Otherwise, carefully consider your starting point.
