Drata Equals Professionalism
What do you like best about the product?
When we had a small issue with the latest "Drata Agent" on 3 of about 30 Windows-PCs , I contacted support and the response was QUICK. After some brief back and forth, I was provided a solution that was easy to understand & implement AND IT JUST WORKED!!! It worked right away with little to no downtime - and no Restart was required (although a restart was recommended - as it should be with all of MS' Windows NT Technologies)...
... As an experienced IT tech - and especially with Windows lol - I know "these things happen". But - in the end - the only thing that really matters is solving the problem quickly. THAT is exactly what happened!!! I will also note: I feel that Drata's systems and software is relatively clear and uncluttered. Working with Users and the Drata Agent is simple. THIS is VERY important. We use a mix of Windows 10 and 11 - mostly w10/22H@ and some w11/21H2-23H2. The Agent experience is consistant - this too is VERY important.

What do you dislike about the product?
The ONLY downside so far - from my point of view - was that we had any issue at all with the Drata Agent. But it was minor because it was remediated so quick.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our Company is meeting the requirements to achieve ISO 9001 Certification. Drata has been incredibly helpful!

Drata is Fantastic
What do you like best about the product?
Drata has been key to our SaaS business in several wways. I've used it to create trust packets, to monitor our compliance at the server and employee level, we like the monitor app on desktop machines, and it takes the sting out of the 4 and growing number of privacy and security requirements we have to maintain. They make keeping all our privacy stuff organized, audited, and trained on much easier. My favorite feature though is their chat support. Though not a traditional "feature" their staff is what really makes them stand out. They are helpful, fast, knowledgeable and in the rare event they don't know an answer they find someone who does. An incredible company with a great tool and even better people.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find their risk evalation tool, which drops out into a separate survey tool, to be out of character for the rest of their app. It feels glued on. I'm sure they'll address it at some point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Drata for Soc 2 Type II, HIPAA, etc. compliance monitoring, employee checks, systems monitoring, trust page, etc. I've done those manually before and with consultancies and Drata made it significantly easier. In my opinion every startup should be using Drata and every mid to enterprise company should be considering them as well. In this day and age security/privacy is a feature and Drata helps you shine.

Drata is Amazing!
What do you like best about the product?
Drata helps us stay focused on our compliance goals and streamline processes. Their support and customer success team are AMAZING! They always have an answer to my questions even if they don't know the answer themselves.

There is a LOT of work to put in at the beginning. Lots of connections and policy updates that need to be made for it to be made effective.

Great Integration with AWS
What do you like best about the product?
The automated monitoring and integration with Azure, AWS and other products is fantastic. Drata provides a constant insight into the state of your user's access requirements, automated alerting configurations, the state of their workstations etc. This frees up so many man hours for reviewing, improving or developing controls. The initial integration was easy with a dedicated project liaison and live support at any time.
The automated reminders and dashboard make staying up to date with your status much easier. This streamlines the work and allows you to focus on important tasks. At a glance you can tell what evidence or policy is due for review in any period. I touch base with the portal nearly every day.

What do you dislike about the product?
If I must choose, it is complex enough that it requires a dedicated champion/overseer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reminders and evidence collection and storage acting as a central repository. In addition it is also for sharing those exhibits with our auditors. Almost half the peices of evidence we normaly had to gather from different sources were delivered on the first pull from the auditors team. Imagine getting 1/2 the audit questions as you expect currently.
Great experience for SOC2
What do you like best about the product?
Our experience with Drata for SOC2 compliance has been really good. Jordan, our customer rep, guided us through the process step-wise and has always checked on things as we progressed. The platform is easy to set up (with automatic connections & sync with our cloud/SaaS software), easy to use (once you train a little), and the maintenance is pretty straightforward. We use them almost daily to check on things and ensure compliance is tight.

The stage between onboarding and getting to full speed needs some serious ramp-up and learning.

Drata is straight forward and simple. We didn't even know where to start during our audit process but Drata made it simple with their prebuilt controls and extensive integrations. The customer support was top notch with their experienced and industry specific advisors. Implementing the controls took us a little over a month. We're daily users of Drata to ensure all our controls are met.

Nothing really. The prebuilt policies could do more with the auditor's feedback to make the compliance process even smoother

Drata helps us become SOC2 compliant. With so many moving parts, Drata ensures our team keeps track of all SOC2 related controls in less than 5 minutes of work a day.

- Drata has an extremely helpful sales and customer success team making sure that you understand both the Drata system, and the processes to get certified and compliant with audits like ISO 27001, SOC2.

What do you dislike about the product?
- In the beginning (3 years ago), it was still not possible to have all evidence for a SOC2 audit in Drata.
- As with other tools, there may be integrations for automatic evidence collection missing, so you need to ask your Customer Success team to review this. Getting the evidence via API is always an option, though.
