How from MacOS I moved to Ubuntu
What do you like best about the product?
It was an interesting decision, I started to work on macOS once I got my job, to work on Linux is the best but MacOS all the time prevented me to do basic things, mac performance was really bad and I was really suffering while I was working on mac, so I tried to find a strong PC but with Linux OS, so that's how I met ubuntu. It's simple lean works fast, I have a really good performance and for work, it's a really good OS
What do you dislike about the product?
Ubuntu is not an enterprise it's a mix between open source plus community who developing it, I was opening a ticket by myself once I was getting random bugs with my headphones or keyboard or Bluetooth module, all of that stuff wasn't happening on MacOS bc there's a huge company behind with many tests and teams who check all of the different use cases with all of the different types of devices
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu really good OS for servers or desktops, most of the time I'm using a desktop version and we have servers running on ubuntu, I can say that developing on ubuntu is much easier than mac, year after year that OS getting more and more tweaks wich really helpful and changes UX from that system, I am programmer so to work with IntelliJ, VS code all of the cloud stack very easy and fast than Windows
It's great to work with Ubuntu

It's feature and most importantly it's security and safety, protection from corruptive softwares

best lightweight os for embedded devices and Iot devices
What do you like best about the product?
It is lightweight and optimized for small processors of embedded devices and more customizable for users and gives more freedom to the developers with their code on the device

It is not beginner-friendly OS and is more suited for expert coders that know command line functions much better. New users might face complexity issues with implementing custom codes

I used this in my classroom project in one of the early semesters of my college, implementing IoT and embedded systems. This OS was the best option to get raspberry pi going well with my project with a good interface

Utilized Ubuntu Servers for deployment of our Backend Applications
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of setup and installation of open source and secure Linux Operating System on the servers. The deployment process was fast and smooth and the integration of server health and status monitoring services was very easy. The security patches and bug fixes are available at regular intervals to reduce the risk. It provided us the freedom to manage things on our own with community-driven support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though the deployments are suppose to happen through scripts but the availability of a good UI to make things fast and better would have been a plus. Sometimes the Patches when deployed leads to applications malfunction and glitch as the version of libraries in the application do not match with the version of OS provided due to which we have to test the patch multiple times in a lower environment before deploying it to the production server.

It helped resolve the problem of compatibility across different device types, it can also reduce the cost of the whole implementation by using this solution. Open source is also the key!
Go to operating system for the developers
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Ubuntu is a free and open-source operating system. It is incredibly user-friendly and has an excellent support community. It also has a great selection of apps and software, making it highly customizable. The fact that it is based on the Linux kernel also makes it one of the most secure operating systems available.
What do you dislike about the product?
I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 22.04 and I'm not very impressed with the desktop environment. It feels very laggy and unresponsive, and I've noticed a significant drop in my system's performance. I'm also having a hard time customizing my desktop as I'm used to, which is a major disappointment. I'm considering switching back to the previous version of Ubuntu 20.044, as I think this one is just too sluggish.
