Fast and reliable OS for any server-related needs
What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu server is super easy to setup, in just few clicks you cna have a server up and running. The graphical interface makes it easy to manage the server.
What do you dislike about the product?
No major complains at the moment, as any linux server there's a learning curve on how to use the terminal and the command line.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use ubuntu mainly to host web servers

Best Open Source Kernel/OS : Ubuntu
What do you like best about the product?
I like it because it is open software, in ubuntu customization is very easy, and most of the inbuilt softwares in Ubuntu are different and gives different experience. And I like the installation of the Ubuntu Operating system. It is not hard and also not time-consuming. The start and shutdown is fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
After using Windows for so many years I can say the controlling, shortcuts, the tool bars are very difficult in Ubuntu. I also didn't like the appearance it is very dull and visualization is not good as windows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The possibility of a virus attack is zero, There are no worries that we have to scan storage devices before accessing it. Many people get tensed when there is no virus in the system, but using ubuntu will make you free from those tensions.
Oustanding, Well maintained, Well supported
What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu is one of the easiest linux distro's one could find when it comes to updates. Regular updates make it an even better choice infact for both personal and business users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of support/documentation related to installation on some old machines (prior to 2010) makes it difficult to install ubuntu. Otherwise, it is still one of the best distros when it comes to installation on latest hardware released after 2010, especially when it comes to virtualization ubuntu is the best and highly recommended.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For someone related to IT, Web or Software Programming, ubuntu is the first thing in Linux that comes to mind, as it offers a variety of options and ease of accessibility. Ubuntu Desktop is any pro-Linux users first choice.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Ubuntu is a free and open source operating system. The upsides of Ubuntu are that it is easy to use and has a lot of software available. In general, Ubuntu is considered to be one of the more user-friendly distributions of Linux. It is also one of the most popular distributions, so it has a large community of users and developers who are able to help newcomers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that it is not as user-friendly as Windows. I also dislike the fact that there are not as many applications available for Ubuntu as there are for Windows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu is solving the problem of how to provide a free and open source operating system that is easy to use and accessible to everyone. This is benefiting me by giving me an alternative to the commercial operating systems that I am familiar with.

What do you like best about the product?
Almost everything that came with 18.04 and then 20.04 were fantastic. The migration of our virtual production servers from 16.04 to 18.04 and now recently 20.04 was very smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
1) Sometimes, it has been observed by my team and me that the network configuration files structure is not streamlined; that is, the netplan and other YAML files may be checked.
2) GUI was an issue (in the past) that is no longer a concern after we can seamlessly use KDE and other environments. It is understood that a server should have a minimalistic GUI.
3) If someone can work with NVIDIA and get the patches for 22.04 worked upon with DPU Bluefield-2 Cards.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1) It helps us manage large High-Performance Computing based clusters with Parallel File Systems.
2) We are trying to understand RISC-V-based architecture, and we have identified Ubuntu Server as the suitable one.

Effortless trouble free Desktop Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu desktop is one of the most dynamic OS for desktop environments. It is loaded with inbuilt freeware software and office tools, which is paid feature on other platforms. The desktop experience is as good as its adversaries and easy to install and configure.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing really to dislike in this OS as not only is it free, and unlike its adversaries, it does not charge for each and everything, feature-wise too it fully loaded, hey so complaints here
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It extensively saved the cost of licensing OS and Office tools, Mostly no need for external Drivers to be installed on the system, and compared to other OS, and the processing is quite fast. Great overall user experience.

What do you like best about the product?
The awesome thing about Ubuntu OS is that it's open source and fast, unlike windows OS. Ubuntu provides excellent security by asking permission at every phase. It provides a centralised platform to install and update all required softwares.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating a virtual host includes lots of confusing steps in ubuntu, I remember when I was creating multiple virtual hosts for our company's different projects, it was tedious work by running many commands step by step to create virtual hosts.It doesn't provide MS office like Windows OS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A few years back, I was using windows OS for all my personal as well as organisation projects, so I can compare the productivity of both operating systems very well with my own experience and I have no doubt that Ubuntu OS is giving the fastest productivity and provided me tremendous professional growth.

What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu desktop is an open source software and not proprietary software so it can be downloaded and can be used very easily by anyone. It is a very secure OS and provides good security to the user. It provides lots of tools and cool applications to the user.
What do you dislike about the product?
For a new user, it is not very interactive as it is command-based and not fully GUI based as Microsoft windows. The commands supported here are different from many of the other OS like MAC OS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu desktop is very good software for developers as it is very secure and open-source software. It is highly customizable and provides many cool themes and applications. It is a lightweight OS. For developers, this is very good as it is a command-based OS.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Ubuntu Desktop for more than 4 years now, I really like how Good and rich it feels every time, it comes with the Gnome desktop environment which is eye candy. Bringing you the LINUX with a good configuration for beginners.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not ultra-light , if we upgrade to higher versions, the OS generally gets a little bit heavy so you need better config system. Maybe just a tradeoff with good features and looks, but it never dissapoints. It so good, you can't hate it.

Ubuntu Desktop is my favorite Operating System in my personal Dell Vostro device, It brings me the power of Linux in my everyday life, making my work life fast and simple.

What do you like best about the product?
This software is easy to install at free of cost open source operating system.The requirements for resources are less so less storage space is required.Ubuntu desktop is light in weight also

One of the major issue in this app is photo editing.It consume more power also.For beginner it is difficult to learn.It is not game friendly.ui is not easily adaptable
